Kate Kandel is a hair stylist and owner of Kate Kandel Salon, located in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. Originally from Ohio, Kate now resides in Simpsonville, SC. From an early age, Kate discovered her passion for hairstyling. She pursued her cosmetology training during high school and, while simultaneously working as a full-time stylist, completed her bachelor's degree in business from Ohio University with the ultimate goal of opening her own salon.

With a background as a traveling KEVIN.MURPHY COLOR.ME educator, Kate has a deep-rooted passion for education. She loves training aspiring stylists as they embark on their careers and assisting established stylists in advancing their skills and expertise.

Specializing in strategically placed balayage and custom haircuts that contour, Kate's expertise ensures each client receives a personalized and flattering style. Her attention to detail and artistic sensibility are evident in every cut and color, resulting in stunning and natural-looking hair.

Outside of the salon, Kate cherishes spending quality time with her husband and their son, catching up with close friends, exploring new restaurants, strolling along The Swamp Rabbit Trail, and unwinding with hot yoga.

BreAnna has been an integral part of our team since the beginning. Recognizing her talent and dedication, she helps lead our team as Lead Stylist. She now not only transforms clients' looks but also shapes the future of our salon through education development with Kate and new stylist recruiting.

BreAnna’s creativity flourishes in her work as she helps clients express their individuality through their hair. This passion for personal style and beauty first drew her to hairdressing, and continues to inspire her each day.

Away from the salon, BreAnna loves catching live music, taking mini road trips, and unearthing unique treasures in antique shops.

Neeley has been with our salon for years with well over a decade of experience in the industry, she’s known for her pixies, layers, and bobs. Neeley has a special love for natural, lived-in color but also enjoys helping clients make bold changes when they’re ready for something new.

Outside the salon, Neeley’s life is full of furry and feathered companions. She lives with her husband, two daughters, a dog, cats, and a flock of backyard chickens. Bob the chicken is the family favorite. Her love for nature shows in her ever-growing plant collection and her developing green thumb.

Neeley’s creativity also shines through her love for painting, a hobby that complements her artistic touch when creating custom color and balayage looks.

Hailing from the New York area, Sabrina brings a touch of metropolitan flair to our salon, blending her hometown roots with years of experience in Nashville’s vibrant hair scene. With a strong foundation in both cutting and color, Sabrina has spent over a decade perfecting her craft - earning a reputation for her thoughtful approach and consistently beautiful results. She specializes in the art of dry cutting, where every snip is intentional, creating styles that grow out seamlessly and maintain their shape.

Fluent in both English and German, Sabrina builds strong connections with her clients through clear communication and a personalized approach. Her color work is just as precise as her cutting - known for rich dimension, natural tones, and custom-blended formulas that suit each client’s lifestyle and features. She stays ahead of the curve with ongoing education while sticking to techniques that deliver long-lasting, healthy results.

Sabrina takes her time during consultations to fully understand her clients’ goals, collaborating to create a look they’ll love. She’s passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience, whether it’s with clients or fellow stylists.

Outside of the salon, you’ll find Sabrina wrapped up in a good book, checking out new restaurants, or hosting game nights with friends. Her attention to detail, down-to-earth attitude, and love for her craft make her an essential part of our team.

Ansley brings warmth, creativity, and a thoughtful approach to her work as a stylist. Her foundation was shaped through Kate Kandel Salon’s Emerging Artist Program, where she refined her techniques through advanced education and one-on-one mentorship. Today, she’s passionate about creating styles that reflect who her clients are and helping them feel like the best version of themselves - whether they’re looking for a subtle refresh or a complete transformation. She values open communication and takes the time during each consultation to understand her clients’ hair goals and create a plan to achieve them.

Originally from Charleston and now loving life in Greenville, Ansley feels most at home outdoors. Whether she’s spending a day at the beach, hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway, or exploring downtown Greenville, she loves being outside. Having grown up near the coast, she loves that Kate Kandel Salon overlooks the Reedy River in downtown Greenville, especially since she’s happiest anywhere near water. When she’s not outside, she enjoys painting, journaling, and relaxing at home with her two cats, Tux and Salem.

Ansley is committed to creating an experience that feels comfortable, intentional, and personalized for every client who sits in her chair while building lasting relationships through thoughtful care and beautiful, customized results.

Pate brings a dynamic blend of creativity and strategic insight to our hair salon. Originally from Greenville and a recent graduate from Clemson University with a marketing degree, she has a fresh perspective and a strong foundation in the latest marketing trends and techniques.

Her enthusiasm for outdoor activities, such as long walks and spending time on the lake, reflects her energetic and adventurous spirit. Pate has a beloved French Bulldog named Dempsey, who is the favorite child of her family.

Pate has been a loyal client of our salon since the beginning. Having used our products for many years, she is passionate about getting these exceptional products into as many hands as possible so that more clients can experience their benefits. Pate is excited to connect with clients and help them achieve their best look while also supporting our talented team of stylists.

After relocating from Los Angeles, he joined forces with his sister Kate to establish the salon. Michael's extensive background in design has taken him around the globe, working in the fashion, luxury, and sporting goods industries. However, with both his siblings residing in Greenville and the anticipation of a nephew's arrival, he felt the need to be closer to family for the first time since college graduation.

Michael's passion for design remains unwavering, and he channels it into various pursuits. He finds joy in interior design and relishes spending time with his beloved dog, Lucy, a well-traveled American Dingo rescued from Puerto Rico.

As a co-owner, Michael plays a pivotal role in managing the salon's marketing, design needs, finances, and business development. His keen eye for aesthetics and business acumen contribute to the salon's overall success, ensuring that every aspect of the business is carefully crafted and curated.
