Emerging Artist

Ansley Dooley

Ansley brings warmth, creativity, and a thoughtful approach to her work as a stylist. After graduating from cosmetology school, she joined the Emerging Artist Program at Kate Kandel Salon, where she continues to receive advanced training and mentorship to refine her techniques and grow her expertise behind the chair. She’s passionate about creating styles that reflect who her clients are and helping them feel like the best version of themselves - whether they’re looking for a subtle refresh or a big transformation. She values open communication and takes her time during consultations to truly understand each person’s hair goals and how to get there.

Originally from Charleston and now loving life in Greenville, Ansley feels most at home outdoors. On weekends, you’ll find her hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway, exploring local trails, or discovering new corners of downtown Greenville. When she’s not outside, she enjoys painting, journaling, and relaxing at home with her two cats, Tux and Salem.

As she continues to grow in her career, Ansley aims to create an experience that feels comfortable, intentional, and tailored to each person who sits in her chair.

I’ve always been drawn to beauty and the way small changes can make someone feel more confident. Even from a young age, I found myself noticing people’s features and thinking about how to enhance what was already there - not to change them, but to bring out their best. That mindset has stuck with me, and becoming a hairstylist felt like a natural way to turn that instinct into something meaningful.

I hope they feel like the best version of themselves - refreshed, confident, and happy. Whether they feel like a whole new person or just a more polished version of who they already are, I want them to feel good walking out that door.

I’d bring the Curl-Defining Whip by Virtue Labs. Because let’s be real - if I’m stuck on an island, I’m not going to have a blow dryer or curling iron. So I’d want something that’s versatile. The Curl Whip is great for air drying, but also works if you do have heat. Plus, it helps with frizz, so it’s like killing two birds with one stone.
