It’s the bane of our existence, it’s the reason we say “SCREW IT” and throw on a hat. And it’s totally fixable. It’s oily roots! Whether it’s hormones, stress-related, or because you just spent an hour scrolling through Instagram on the elliptical - I’m here to give you a few tips to get that oil under control.
The skin on your scalp is just like the skin on your face. It’s got sebaceous glands that sometimes act a fool and overproduce sebum (that’s fancy talk for oil). Over-washing your hair can result in removing too much of the natural oils that your scalp produces. This can trick your scalp into thinking it needs to produce more oil!
I know, I know.. Washing less is easier said than done. However, we’ve got a ton of awesome products that make it much easier to go a few days between washes.
Okay - so we’ve covered day 1.. But what about day 2 or 3 when things start looking funky?
